Stunning Defensive Show Secures 3 Points

Cowdenbeath kept up their good form with a victory away to Arbroath. A first career goal for Scott Linton secured the points; Scott getting onto the end of a Brian Fairbairn cross to header home at the back post.

Cowden started the game brightly but failed to create many chances.  In fact the only real chance of note in the first half was the goal with Linton grabbing the goal.

The secod half really wasnt much better in terms of excitement.  Arbroath did have the ball in the net when Hislop scored but the goal was ruled out for a foul on Davie Hay who was stretchered off while out cold. On came Cameron Mackay for his first league game and he delt with everything thrown at him easily enough.

Arbroath dominated the rest of the game but just like the first half couldnt create any chances.  A strong defensive performance (Joe Mbu being the best player on the park) saw Cowden wrap up the 3 points.
