Cowdenbeath end away-day hoodoo

Jordan Morton's goal secured Cowdenbeath's first away win of the season as they beat Dundee 2-1.

The away side took the lead early in the second half, with Kane Hemmings making up for a first-half penalty miss by firing home from inside the area.

However the joy was short-lived, as Nicky Riley found Jim McAlister on the left of the box and he slotted into the bottom corner to draw Dundee level after an hour.

But new manager Jimmy Nicholl saw his side reclaim the lead shortly after when Morton finished from six yards out.

Dundee, who had been unbeaten at home, continued to dominate possession and push for an equaliser but were unable to get past the defence of a Cowdenbeath side that had not won in four, but remain ninth in the league.
