Lyle digs deep for Miners
Derek Lyle's last-minute goal earned Cowdenbeath a priceless three points from a 1-0 win over Brechin.
City goalkeeper Craig Nelson denied Greg Stewart's left-footed drive midway through the first half before Rory McKenzie fired over at the other end seven minutes before half time.
Stewart again went close after the restart but headed Dean Brett's centre wide of the left-hand post from 12 yards with 20 minutes remaining.
Jon Robertson almost made the breakthrough for the Blue Brazil in the 86th minute but his header from Liam Cusack's corner cannoned back off a post.
And just as Brechin looked to have hung on for a point, Lyle popped up in the right place at the right time to slam Stewart's cross into the roof of the net.
