Battling Performance Earns Point

The top 2 sides in the league met today in the match of the day in the league. Both sides were severly hampered by injuries but both sides manage to field strong sides that served up a competitive game.

All in all a draw is probably a fair result but Dumbarton will look back on a missed penalty by Stevie Murray and the fact that Cowden played the last 15 minutes with 10 men when Jay Shields was harshly sent off and perhaps feel dissapointed.

A game of few chances with both sides missing creative players. Cowden missed Marek Tomana and Paul McQuade while Dumbarton missed top scorer Ross Clark and winger Derek Carcary.

A crowd of over 1000 took in the game an saw both sides play with fight and passion. Both sides appear to be worthy winners of the league but only 1 side can do it. 3 games to go. 2 teams in it. 1 Champion.
