Dene Droudge and Danny Mackay remain sidelined, and a trialist has been brought in as cover.
Stirling Albion manager Jocky Scott: "This is a big game in a big week for us that began when we drew with Ross County.
"We need a wee break in front of goal and if we get that I am sure we will convert one point into three.
"We never got a break against County so we are due one in this game."
Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl: "It will be lunchtime before we know what the team will be but I have an experienced player standing by to feature if required.
"A win for us would be a terrific result and would have a really positive effect on how we face the busy schedule of games coming up.
"We have beaten them twice before but that will count for nothing."
