Dundee V Cowdenbeath at Dens Park Stadium - Match Preview

Pair return for Dark Blues

Championship leaders Dundee welcome back Kyle Benedictus and Stephen O'Donnell after injury and with Ryan Conroy shaking off a knock.

Their availability means Dens Park manager John Brown has a full squad to choose from against visitors Cowdenbeath.

Despite their lofty status the Dark Blues will not be treating their Fife opponents lightly.

"Cowdenbeath are a very useful side going forward," assistant boss Ray Farningham said. "Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart are a real threat and we need to be extremely vigilant throughout.

"We have been strong at home all season and want to keep that going. This will be a very tricky game if we do not approach it correctly."

The Blue Brazil head to Dens Park with recently appointed manager Jimmy Nicholl having concerns over skipper John Anderson who has a shoulder injury, Jamie Stevenson who is troubled by a calf problem and Mark McKenzie who picked up a knock playing for the Central Park reserve side in midweek.

Nicholl has been impressed by the job Brown has done at Dens Park.

"John has built a strong squad there and they have went about their business very professionally," he said. "They will be delighted to be at the top of the table so we have to go there and play well to take anything."
