Cowdenbeath V Partick at Central Park - Match Preview

Stewart to start

Cowdenbeath will have Colin Stewart in goal when Partick pitch up at Central Park.

He will replace youngster Lee Wilson after a short-term deal was agreed with the 33-year-old.

Regular number one Thomas Flynn remains sidelined with an injured hand with player-manager Colin Cameron (hamstring) and Liam Cusack (knee) also missing out.

This game is the re-staging of the meeting that was abandoned last month with the Blue Brazil 2-1 up due to fog and Cameron said: "It might be the game that never was in terms of the record books but I want the same level of performance.

"It was disappointing to be two up on Morton on Saturday and lose 4-2 but we are at home for this one where we are usually strong."

Partick will give late checks to Sean Welsh and Steven Craig ahead of the clash after the duo sustained knocks in Saturday's 6-1 demolition of Livingston.

The Jags, who can go top for the first time since the end of 2012 with a win, also have Stuart Bannigan available after he played for Scotland Under-21s in their 3-0 win over Luxembourg on Monday night.

Manager Alan Archibald is telling his men to be wary of the Fifers, saying: "We put on a terrific display against Livingston but I well remember that we were losing 2-1 in this fixture only four weeks ago when it was abandoned due to fog.

"They have very good strikers, so we need to be on our toes to get the win we are after."
