Blue Brazil look to tame Bairns

Cowdenbeath have added goalkeeper John Gibson on loan from Dundee and he is included in manager Jimmy Nicholl's squad to face Falkirk as Grant Adam has left the club.

Nicholl welcomes back David Cowan, Lewis Milne and Greg Stewart from injury, however Andy Russell is a doubt.

The Blue Brazil boss said: "We are in great shape squad-wise and the team we send out has to make sure we put in a good solid performance at home that will hopefully see us get a win here.

"That has been missing for too long and needs to end although I recognise that Falkirk are a very good side."

Falkirk miss only Thomas Grant (virus) as they look for their first win at Central Park in four attempts.

Manager Gary Holt includes all the club's sought-after youngsters, with technical director Alex Smith looking for the Bairns to grab all three points even if they have to win ugly.

Smith said: "We are well known for our nice football however this may be a different type of game. It will be on a heavy, tight pitch against a team battling for points to stay in the league so we may have to dig out a win by being more direct."
